CONSTITUTION
1. The name of the Society is "THE BRITISH COLUMBIA SOCIETY OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS"
2. The objects of the
Society are:
(a) to uphold public health, safety and welfare as it relates
to the
professional
practice of landscape architecture in British Columbia;
(b) to nurture and further the professional application of landscape architecture knowledge and technique as it relates to the planning, design, development, preservation, protection, restoration, reclamation, enhancement and management of the environment;
(c) to advance landscape architectural knowledge and technique;
(d) to further and maintain proper standards of professional landscape architectural practice in British Columbia.
3. The operations of the Society are to be chiefly carried on in or about the Province of British Columbia.
4. Landscape architecture is hereby defined as a fine art concerned with arranging land and space and the objects upon or within it for human use and enjoyment. This definition is unalterable.
