Landscape Standard - 7th Edition
This latest edition of the Standard was released in
June 2008. It has been prepared by a joint committee of the BCSLA and the
BC Landscape and Nursery Association (BCLNA). Since its initial publication in
1982, the BC Landscape Standard has evolved and expanded with the voluntary
efforts of a wide range of individuals and organizations.
An essential reference for design professionals
involved with this technology. Green roofs may be categorized into two types, intensive or extensive,
depending on the vegetative cover and planned usage of the roof area. The design
intent is a key factor in determining media depths and plant selection. This
Standard deals exclusively with extensive green roofs.

2007 BCSLA Workplace Survey (PDF)
The
Workplace Survey was carried out to gather information relating to the current
workplace conditions of our Members. The primary purpose of the survey was to
acquire current data to inform work being undertaken to update the Society's Fee
Guide. In addition it is hoped that the survey will provide an invaluable
insight into the profession and will arm students, employees and employers with
up-to-date facts about the profession. We
hope that the survey will be a useful and interesting resource for all Members
of the Society and will lead to a better understanding of the profession in
British Columbia.
