2012 BCSLA Annual Conference, Showcase and AGM
Our Annual Conference will be held on April 13-14, 2012 at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier (138 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver, BC).  This year, DIVERSITY, will bring together design professionals, practitioners, and key stakeholders, to examine and deliberate the theories and ideas regarding the landscapes that celebrate both the people that expereience them and the sustainble practices of the future. The DIVERSITY of the urban landscape incorporates the strata of infrastructure, biology, and culture which need to interact in a symbiotic manner.

Thanking Presenters & Giving Back
Last year, conference organizers were pleased to recognize the contributions of the many participating presenters at our Conference while giving back to the community. In lieu of traditional presenter gifts, a donation was made to two recognized organizations based on the North Shore.

Edible Garden Project
The EGP has three main activities on the North Shore: Growing Food Gardens, Sharing the Backyard Bounty, and building Strong Roots. The Edible Garden Project actively increases land being used for food production in the North Shore by seeking-out unused garden space both on private and public lands.

North Shore Streamkeepers
North Shore Streamkeepers come from all walks of life. They are ordinary people who are willing to be trained, spend their free time monitoring and improving streams and waterways. They have an interest in local history, ecology, and lifestyle.
