The 11th Canadian Urban Forest Conference- Urban Forest By Design  will take place September 30 – October 2, 2014 in Victoria, BC.

Every two years the CUFC brings together dedicated individuals and groups to share their experiences and innovative approaches to the stewardship of Canada’s urban forests.  

The conference theme of Urban Forests by Design is intended to engage urban foresters with allied professionals, residents, civic leaders and others in the common drive to build communities that are more genuinely sustainable, resilient, healthy, participatory, and affordable. BCSLA CE Credits available.

Call for BCSLA Volunteers

Organizers have contacted BCSLA to participate in conference planning. If you live in the Victoria area and would like to assist while representing the BCSLA please contact the BCSLA office for details.

Call for Presentations and Posters 

Presentations Abstracts are being sought for: individual presentations, symposia or panels, tree academy workshops, professional affiliate presentations and poster presentations . Proposed conference streams: Values (ethical, social, ecological), Policy & Planning, Research & Design,  Funding & Resourcing and Best Management Practices.

To have your presentation or poster considered, please submit a titled abstract of 250 words or less to: [email protected]. Please include your name, affiliation and contact information.  

Abstracts are due by February 15, 2014.  Abstracts may address any topic broadly related to the conference theme. Abstracts will be evaluated for thematic relevance, clarity and interest to a diverse audience.
