Program & Themes
For the third time in ten years, land use professionals will come together for the BC Land Summit. The unique goal of this exciting conference is to facilitate, promote and build inter-disciplinary learning, shared understanding and new perspectives, networking and collaboration amongst land-use related professionals. In keeping with that goal, the overall theme is “Collaborations & Connections”. Under this umbrella theme are four major subthemes, including: Food & Agriculture, the Natural & Built Environment, Law & the Land, and Water & the Land.

Keynote Speakers
We are pleased to welcome: world renowned Chris Hadfield, former astronaut and commander of the International Space Station; Catherine Murray, co-host and anchor for Business News Network, with her expertise in the often murky realm of the global marketplace; anthropologist, author, and global speaker, Wade Davis, who has been described as “a rare combination of scientist, scholar, poet, and passionate defender of all of life’s diversity”; and Louise Mandell, Doctor of Laws and Queen’s Counsel, with a wealth of insight into Aboriginal Title and Rights and Treaty Rights. In addition, there will be a wide range of thought-provoking speakers to encourage motivation and introspection.
