UBC Continuing Studies is very excited to announce that Fernando Caruncho will deliver the UBC Continuing Studies Garden Design Lecture in fall 2014. You can read an article on Caruncho, and view a slideshow of his studio compound in Madrid, in the April 2014 issue of Architectural Digest .
Caruncho uses the grid as a basis for his design, creating an ordering system and a means of connecting to the rural landscape. His poetic formal gardens complement and improve any architectural style from traditional to modern.
The UBC Continuing Studies garden design lectures showcase the work of international garden designers and landscape architects in free public events at UBC Robson Square in downtown Vancouver. To allow a wider audience to experience these lectures, they are also recorded and made available as videos.
