The landscape architecture program in the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA) at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor effective July 1, 2017.
The successful candidate will demonstrate sustained inquiry about contemporary issues in the discipline and will pursue a related area of research, scholarship and/or creative practice, and teaching. A commitment to quality design teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and in-depth knowledge and skill in digital representation is essential.
Teaching responsibilities will include design studios and courses in the professional, post-professional, and undergraduate SALA programs, as well as supervision of graduate students. Previous teaching experience is required.
Candidates must hold a Master of Landscape Architecture. A PhD in Landscape Architecture or a closely related discipline is desirable.
