Your responsibilities will include master planning, landscape concept and detail design development, construction detailing, schematic illustrations and presentation of the design work to the public, stakeholder groups and our clients. Reporting to a Senior Landscape Architect, you will also provide cost estimating, detail design services, contract document preparation, tender and contract administration services including inspection and construction management for total project involvement.
Education:
- Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA or MLA) and/or eligibility to become a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Landscape Architects;
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years work experience is preferred;
- Superior grading and planting design skills are required, with an understanding of the Landscape Architect's role in a consulting environment;
- Hand drafting and graphic design skills are highly desirable;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Possess a strong desire to take part in finding creative solutions that are environmentally responsible and technically sound;
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD experience is required;
- PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop experience considered an asset;
- Excellent presentation and oral/written communication skills are desirable;
- A valid driver's license is required for site/project meetings and inspections (mostly in the Saskatoon area);
