INTERMEDIATE / SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Lanarc is looking for a skilled, passionate, and thoughtful project manager to join our dynamic practice.

FOR THIS ROLE WE NEED SOMEONE WHO:

• Is a capable leader and project manager – confidently leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects, works with clients to help them reach their goals, and manages project budgets.
• Has excellent written and graphic communication skills – writes well and is able to clearly communicate technical ideas and high-level concepts.
• Has a strong design sense and technical skillset – develops creative solutions, leads development of interdisciplinary deliverables, and oversees projects from inception through implementation.
• Understands community engagement – helps to weave engagement into design and planning, creates materials that are engaging and fun, and facilitates inclusive dialogue with understanding and empathy.
• Excels at critical thinking and problem solving – embraces that our work at Lanarc is rarely ‘cookie-cutter’ and enjoys a variety of tasks.  Each of our projects is unique.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’D LIKE TO SEE:

• School: Degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design / Planning, or related profession.
• Work Experience: 5-10 years, with a strong understanding of working in the consulting realm and a desire to advance a long-term career towards a leadership position. 
• Computer Skills: Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office 365. AutoCAD, Sketchup, Twinmotion, and Lumion skills are an asset.
• People Skills: Confidence and an ability to work well with others. We value our team relationships and are looking to add people who contribute to a positive, friendly atmosphere.

LOCATION:

• Our preference is to add a talented colleague in our Nanaimo office. We truly believe Nanaimo is one of the best places to call home and we’re proud to be part of making it even better for the future.
• We would also consider a position in Vancouver or Victoria for the right candidate. Our goal is to the find the best person for our evolving team.

SALARY:

• Expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year.
