Junior Landscape Designer / Landscape Architect

818 studio ltd. is currently searching for the right person to join our design studio.  We need someone with a strong design and project management background to join our group. While skill and talent are important, we’re really focused on finding the right personality that will fit with our team.  Good people make good professionals.

We’re looking for someone who has at least 3 years of experience, can work independently, has a good knowledge of landscape construction methods and an understanding of the quirks of landscape contractors.  Maturity, experience and design insight are an asset, as is familiarity with our CADD software of choice, Vectorworks. 

The appreciation of the importance of meeting deadlines and the intensity that surrounds them is crucial.  While deadlines can be demanding, they are also challenging and inspiring.

If you are looking for the opportunity to participate in a creative, collaborative environment on a diverse range of projects throughout western Canada, we would be most interested in chatting with you.  If your focus is a 9-5 type of environment (and there’s nothing wrong with that), we probably aren’t the right fit for you.  We tend to keep different hours.
