We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build. Job Summary The successful candidate will be an active practitioner and hands-on leader of a dedicated team of professional and technical staff working on a variety of municipal and land development projects.
This role will involve client relationship management, concept development, design development, preparation and/or administration of contract documents, cost estimates and administration of construction services, as well as overall project management.
As practice leader, you will oversee and/or manage all aspects of present and future projects. You will direct and coordinate the activities of project teams and lead the growth and development of our Landscape Architecture practice in Northern Alberta. You will take a leadership role in marketing, with hands-on involvement in business development initiatives, managing existing clients and developing new business. You will also oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting and cost control.
You will be highly motivated, organized and have excellent client relationship skills. You have extensive experience with landscape and urban design projects, from the master planning to contract administration.
Good proposal writing skills and a demonstrated ability to secure new work will be essential.
- A Degree in Landscape Architecture
- Professional registration as a Landscape Architect in Alberta.

- Minimum of seven + years of professional landscape experience, preferably in the consulting industry.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, closely with clients, stakeholders and other team members to achieve desired project outcomes.
- Extensive experience in the management of projects from proposal development to completion, including periodic project reviews, with a focus on maintaining project schedule and budget.
- Extensive knowledge of, and experience within, the Edmonton and Alberta region.
- Alberta specific horticultural knowledge and application.
- A varied portfolio of project experience, in both the private and public sectors.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment with tight deadlines.
- Experience working with public agency standards and project submission requirements.
- Demonstrated graphic skills (computer based and hand sketching).
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
- Experience providing public consultation and stakeholder engagement services.
- Proven ability to win and successfully deliver projects.
