LANDSCAPE DESIGNER (0-2 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE)
BENCH Site Design is seeking an early-career designer to join our 10-person team in Kelowna, BC. The successful candidate must have an excellent design sense, enthusiasm for learning, superb communication skills, and a desire to actively participate in rigorous design and documentation processes in a highly collaborative environment.
Strength in AutoCAD and Creative Suite are required. Demonstrated proficiency in any of the following would be considered an asset: hand graphics, Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, Civil 3D, rendering software such as Enscape/ Lumion, or life cycle analysis/embodied carbon emissions modeling tools (e.g. Pathfinder, One Click LCA, EC3).
Applicants for this position should possess the following:

A degree in landscape architecture, a degree in environmental design or a diploma in landscape architectural technology

0-2 years’ of professional experience

Excellent communication skills

An interest in being involved in projects from schematic design through contract administration, and a desire to learn the skills necessary to do so

Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, and an ability to prioritize varied tasks within a constantly evolving workflow

Class 5 BC drivers license (or equivalent)

Curiosity, empathy and a sense of humour
