Landscape/Graphic Designer

Binnie has an exciting opportunity for a Landscape/Graphic Designer to join our Landscape Architecture, Sports & Recreation Team in our Burnaby office, situated near the Deer Lake and Burnaby City Hall area. Our Landscape Architecture, Sports & Recreation Division is a leader in providing planning, design and construction administration services for outdoor sports and recreation facilities for Municipalities, School Districts and others throughout Western Canada. As part of Binnie’s Landscape Architecture, Sports & Recreation team, you work alongside a talented group of experienced professionals in the landscape architecture and civil engineering fields. Our projects include a wide variety of public open space planning and design, as well as sports and recreation facilities including synthetic turf and natural grass sports fields, running tracks, tennis/sports courts, parks and outdoor urban public spaces, streetscapes, and land development projects. As landscape and graphic design is a key aspect of the position, the preferred candidate will have a recreation/landscape design background, complimented with strong graphic skills. Day-to-Day: • Prepare computer-generated design drawings using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and graphics programs • Support design development process • Complete landscape designs, cost estimates, and reports • Complete graphic design drawings and models for Binnie’s related disciplines • Carry-out quality control procedures related to CAD and design

Education: 

• Recent graduate of a Landscape Architecture related degree or diploma program

Experience: 

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS, Photoshop and Sketch Up • Strong graphic communication skills, specifically with above programs, and hand graphics • Landscape construction knowledge • Good aesthetic sense with the ability to prepare presentation style drawings • Good communication skills • Strong teamwork skills Careers at Binnie: Build your career with Binnie as a Landscape/Graphic Designer within our Landscape Architecture, Sports & Recreation Team.
