Planning Assistant 2 - Sustainable Community Development

The District of North Vancouver is looking for an innovative professional to provide urban design, graphics and consultation support to our Municipal Planning team in the implementation of the Official Community Plan, various strategic action plans and development planning projects. In this regular, full-time position, you will provide creative design input and produce: graphics for display materials, web pages, printed matter and reports; supporting visuals (including 3 dimensional images); and maps for planning initiatives, development application reports and notices.

You have post-secondary education in urban planning and/or graphics design, use current best practices in software applications (such as In Design, Sketch Up, Photoshop and Autocad), and have sound experience in a planning, architecture, or landscape architecture environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid BC Drivers Licence is required.

The pay range for this unionized position is $28.33 to 33.34 per hour based on a 35-hour work week.  The District offers a comprehensive benefits package, enhanced vacation, modified work week, learning and development opportunities, along with a respectful workplace environment and an on-going commitment to work / life balance
