Project Manager

Binnie is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Landscape Architecture, Sports & Recreation (LASR) team in our Burnaby office, located near scenic Deer Lake. You will be working with an accomplished team on high-visibility projects. You’ll manage a wide variety of sports facility projects including synthetic and natural turf sports fields, running tracks, and sports courts. You’ll help deliver landscape architectural services for parks and recreation, streetscapes, and public open space master planning.

Working directly with clients, you will provide planning, direction, and reporting for projects to ensure we meet the needs of our clients. You will also utilize your excellent business development skills to maintain strong client relationships and secure new business opportunities. YOUR ROLE:

  • Acting as the key contact on projects working with clients, stakeholders, consultants, contractors and support staff
  • Preparing proposals in coordination with our Proposal Specialist (under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager)
  • Developing project schedules and coordinating resources
  • Monitoring budget and progress on projects
  • Engaging in active business development 
Education: 
  • Professional Registration is preferred such as a P.Eng., BCSLA, AScT or equivalent
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle
Experience: 
  • 5+ years of progressive experience on land development, public open space, and parks and recreation projects (including 2+ years of project management experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
