Bridging Silos: Advancing Climate Adaptation and Low Carbon Resilience in Small Communities and Rural Regions

Date: March 4 to 5, 2021

"Bridging Silos" brings experts, practitioners, community leaders and residents together to explore pathways to a more resilient and climate-friendly future. Drawing on expertise from across British Columbia, this free two-day event will highlight the latest innovations and insights from and for small communities. It’s an opportunity to examine how rural regions are collaborating across sectors, disciplines, and jurisdictions to increase their climate readiness and plan for low carbon resilience. The virtual conference design will provide space for networking and help attendees build relationships and learn from each other.

Who should attend:
“Bridging Silos” welcomes a diverse audience from small communities and rural regions in BC, Yukon, and Alberta. This includes local government and Indigenous Nations (staff and elected officials), community organizations, consulting professionals, researchers and interested members of the general public.
