Gaia College Online Classes in Organic Land Care Fall 2019

Find your class and register now. Gaia College industry pre-approved continuing education credits (CEC/ CEU) available for each class, and a Diploma available once 4 core classes + an elective is completed (and / or Certificates available for each class). Gardening courses for the new gardener and the landscaping professional as well.  Each term is 14 weeks long with 24/7 access online. Courses are $795 each + applicable taxes. 

Core Courses:

Organic Master Gardener or

Organic Horticulture Specialist

These two courses (same course different name) are the main courses that people start first to learn about organic land care.

 

SketchUp Pro for Landscape Design

Take this course to discover new ways to wow your clients with a 3D presentation of their future landscape.

 

Ecological Plant Knowledge 1 - Natives

Discover the intricacies of the local plants around you, and find a new way of looking at the flora.

 

Ecological Landscape Design

Follow up to SketchUp with a new knowledge of what, how, and why to place your flora, softscapes, and hardscapes in your landscaping.

 

Electives:

Business Skills for Landcare Professionals

Learn the rules and regulations of owning a small business, and create a formal marketing and business plan.

 

Growing Food 1 - Fundamentals

Growing Food en masse is a large undertaking, and here you'll learn the tips and tricks of doing so.

 

Ecological Plant Knowledge 2 - Ornamentals

Flowers, and Flowering plants for Horticulture are in a class of their own.

 

Living Green Infrastructure

This course provides a deeper understanding of nature’s contribution to the success of human created infrastructure, and helping everyone make better and more integrated decisions for long-term benefit.

 

Rainwater Harvesting & Management
