SCCP Webinar: The Value of Indicators

This will be the 6th in our ongoing webinar series to connect landowners, stewards and land use decision-makers with the tools and resources to understand and address species at risk, habitat and biodiversity conservation challenges on BC's South Coast. This webinar will focus on the partnership between Metro Vancouver and the University of British Columbia to leverage advances in GIS mapping and further the integration of land use and conservation planning in Metro Vancouver. Using high-resolution land cover data and other regional scale ecological datasets, the project seeks to refine the use of landscape indicators as a way to help measure and conserve biodiversity values (local native species and their associated ecosystems) and ecological services as part of land use planning from the local to regional scale.
