M2 Landscape Architecture is an award winning firm providing both landscape architecture and arborist services in both British Columbia and Alberta. M2 is an energetic, busy company, with a variety of projects and opportunities. We are close to skytrain, transit, bike routes and parking and are located in the historic Old Town area of New Westminster, within a block of New Westminster Quay, in a beautiful brick heritage building. We primarily focus on multi-family residential / mixed use, elder care and health institutions and high end single family residences.
We are looking for a Landscape Architect or Senior Landscape Associate who is self-starting, creative and enthusiastic. Our employees are encouraged to work as a team, share experiences and expertise and we have a friendly open work space. Position: Landscape Architect / Senior Landscape Associate
Responsibilities:
Project management for multiple projects with varied complexity
Review of in-house projects for quality assurance
Work closely with principal regarding proposals
Conceptual design for variety of projects
Collaboration with both clients, consultants and municipal representatives
Coordination of project for permit submissions, including detail design, grading, planting and hardscape plans
Work closely with a team in-house, to ensure projects are on-time and on-budget

Minimum 5 years experience in Landscape Architecture firm
Proficient in Autocad; ability with Photoshop, InDesign an asset
Knowledge in plant material
Experience in technical detailing, drafting and construction practices
Strong organizational skills
Written and verbal skills in English required
Professional appearance and ability to work easily with clients, consultants and government
Project management experience preferable
Eligible for membership to BCSLA
