Join this tour of local urban ecosystems, and learn about the unique spaces of Penzer Park, Kwantlen University’s horticulture spaces, and NATS Nursery.

Penzer Park: Take a tour with Troy Wilson from the City of Langley, and learn about the development process of Penzer Park, the largest outdoor Parkour facility in Canada, which integrates parkspace, wetlands, gardens, and more.

Kwantlen University Horticulture Spaces: Visit KPU Langley for a tour of Canada’s only Bachelor’s of Horticulture Science in Urban Ecosystems and Plant Health program spaces. The tour will include a visit to the shallow soil green roof research garden, the vertical and large scale rain gardens, a labyrinth, and a small-scale aquaponics system.

NATS Nursery: Check out the inventory of one of BC’s largest growers of native plants for parks, urban forests and reclamation of disturbed sites. Learn about seed processing and propagation of starter plants to 20 gallon containers, and field stock, including unique Integrated Pest Management (IPM) solutions. Experience first-hand, the production and simple installation of LiveRoof, the leading modular green roof system, and a growing trend on urban buildings.
