Heritage 101: Introduction to Heritage Conservation Vancouver Heritage Foundation Mar 5, 2016 : 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

Heritage 101 is a comprehensive introduction to heritage conservation. Three professionals in the heritage sector deliver this all day workshop that covers theory and practice, the history of Vancouver’s heritage, how heritage conservation practices evolved, how the City of Vancouver regulates heritage work in the city, and resources and invaluable information to introduce both homeowners and professionals to the field of heritage conservation. Learning with architects, trades, building owners and others creates an excellent environment for learning from both instructors and engaged discussion. The workshop includes two practical site observation exercises for evaluating older buildings.
