In this day-long workshop at UBC Botanical Garden, participants will gain a better understanding of how UBC Botanical Garden is approaching sustainable horticulture and climate change adaptation. Participants will learn about resiliency strategies for supporting trees and bees, and will participate in the Field School where they will learn about local sustainability to support biodiversity and bee conservation, sustainable food systems, and connections between urban forests and water resources. Following lunch, garden curators will share their approaches to managing diverse ecosystems such as Alpine, Asian, Native, and Japanese gardens. The day will close with a guided tree tour.
