Upcoming SCCP workshop: Conservation through Citizen Engagement on BC’s South Coast! South Coast Conservation Program Mar 22, 2015 : 11:30 am to Mar 30, 2015 : 8:45 pm

As stewards and users of natural areas on the South Coast, the SCCP would like to extend an invitation to you to join us for a fusion "citizen science" workshop and dialogue to introduce new resources for the public on endangered species conservation.

BC’s South Coast is a biodiversity hot-spot. Land-use decision makers have an expectation that species monitoring and habitat restoration needs will be filled by stewardship and professional expertise. This will not be achieved without these audiences receiving appropriate skills, training, up-to-date tools and expertise. The South Coast Conservation Program is working to address this through hosting stewardship practices workshops combined with the application of new mobile and digital resources supported by an interactive social networking approach.

The sessions will also be an opportunity network and connect to other user groups and interests. Registration is required, for information on the sessions within your region please go to: http://sccp.ca/events-and-workshops
