BENCH Site Design is seeking an Intermediate Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect with 2-5 years of professional experience to join our 9-person team in Kelowna, BC. The successful candidate must have an excellent design sense, an enthusiasm for collaboration and learning, and an ongoing commitment to learning and growth. Experience in site analysis and conceptual design, delivering detailed construction documents, coordinating with clients, and project delivery from planning through construction is required. Familiarity with municipal planning and permitting processes, public engagement, and contract administration would be considered an asset. 

Applicants for this position should possess the following:

  • A degree in landscape architecture, or a diploma in landscape architectural technology; professional registration with the BCSLA would be considered an asset
  • 2-5 years of professional experience working in a landscape architecture consulting practice
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Rhino 3D; experience with Civil 3D, Pathfinder, GIS, Revit, Enscape, or Lumion would be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Superb time management and organizational skills, and an ability to prioritize tasks within a constantly evolving workflow
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous project timelines
  • Experience coordinating and providing direction to other team members to successfully deliver complex project tasks
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring junior team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Class 5 BC driver’s license (or equivalent)
  • Curiosity, empathy and a sense of humour
