Landscape Designer

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Lanarc is looking for a skilled, creative, and detail-oriented landscape designer to join our dynamic practice. This person will be our go-to for supporting landscape architecture, graphic design, and community engagement tasks.

FOR THIS ROLE WE NEED SOMEONE WHO:

• Has strong design and graphic skills – creates site-sensitive design approaches and communicates visually by creating clear and captivating graphics.
• Is enthusiastic about community engagement – helps create engaging and fun materials and facilitate inclusive, empathetic dialogue.
• Has excellent written communication skills – demonstrates the ability to figure out what to say and how to say it clearly and concisely. Report layout and writing skills are an asset.
• Has a growing technical skillset – is comfortable working on interdisciplinary AutoCAD drawing sets and is enthusiastic to support projects from conceptual design through detailed design and construction with oversight from a project manager.
• Enjoys variety and challenges – embraces that each of our projects is unique and our work spans broadly within the realms of landscape architecture, planning, and community engagement.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’D LIKE TO SEE:

• School: Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Work Experience: 0-3 years, ideally some experience working in an office environment.
• Computer Skills: Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office 365, and AutoCAD. Revit, Sketchup, Twinmotion, Lumion, or other 3D visualization software skills are an asset.
• People Skills: Confidence and an ability to work well with others. We value our relationships and are looking to add people who contribute to a positive, friendly atmosphere.

SALARY:

Expected salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
