Designing for Tomorrow: Climate-Resilient Futures on Vancouver Island
-
Thursday, February 19, 2026 · 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Gabriel Ross Showroom, 1319 Government Street, Victoria
As climate change intensifies, communities on Vancouver Island and the CRD face escalating environmental pressures — from increased rainfall and flooding to biodiversity loss, urban heat, and ecosystem stress.
This talk explores how design — whether in urban planning, landscape architecture, biomimicry, art or community mapping — can shape resilient, regenerative, and equitable futures.
By bringing together cross-disciplinary voices, we’ll challenge traditional design paradigms and reimagine built and natural environments as dynamic living systems rooted in local ecology and community.
