The 4-Day Level 1 Basic Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) course will provide participants with a solid, practical, working knowledge of CPTED Principles and Strategies. 1st, 2nd and 3rd Generation CPTED, Community CPTED and SafeGrowth® theory, concepts and terminology will be covered. Projects, case studies, a written test and group participation will provide the participant with the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of course objectives. Daily case study assignments will prepare participants for the real world syndicate project at the end of the course. The Level 1 course is a pre-requisite for attending the Level 2 and Level 3 Courses and becoming a Certified CPTED Practitioner (CCP).
All courses are held at the Cloverdale Holiday Inn & Suites (Surrey, BC).
