Landscape Architect / Designer

At Lanarc we connect design, planning, and community engagement to support our changing communities to
meet the needs of tomorrow. We are known for our quality, collaboration, and leadership in urban design,
green infrastructure, and environmental planning. We are looking to add a full-time landscape
architect/designer to our evolving team. 

FOR THIS ROLE WE NEED SOMEONE WHO:

Has strong design and graphic skills – creates site-sensitive design approaches and communicates visually by creating clear and captivating graphics.

Has excellent written communication skills – demonstrates the ability to figure out what to say and how to say it clearly and concisely. Report layout and editing skills are an asset.

Has a strong technical skillset – develops and works on interdisciplinary AutoCAD drawing sets and supports projects from conceptual design through detailed design and construction.

Enjoys variety and challenges – embraces that our work is rarely ‘cookie-cutter’ and spans broadly within the realms of landscape architecture, planning, and community engagement. From helping a community envision their 20-year future to collaborating with contractors to get a playground into the ground, each of our projects is unique.

While our project work takes us throughout BC and beyond, we are seeking to add to our main location in Nanaimo. The downtown Nanaimo office location offers views over the harbour and easy access from across the city. We also have offices in Vancouver and Victoria, and we would consider a position at one of those locations for the right candidate. Our goal is to find the best person for our evolving team.
