Senior Level Landscape Designer / Landscape Architect (Full-Time)
We are looking for a driven and self-motivated person with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, with 6+ years’ experience in a landscape architecture office. You have exceptional communication and design skills, with experience overseeing all facets of project management. You thrive in the role of Project lead, and can oversee junior staff while managing project deliverables, schedule and budget. Experience in overseeing construction documentation, specification writing, and field services will be considered an asset.
In addition, for this position we are looking for applicants who display the following skills:
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams through the schematic design, design development, permitting and contract document phases of a project;
- Special emphasis on people with an interest in urban design, mixed-use development, public realm, institutional, infrastructure, streetscapes, and single-family residential work;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Excellent time management of various projects with conflicting demands;
- Ability to lead a small in-house design team on various projects with direct mentorship by the Principal;
- Experience with proposal writing and tracking is considered an asset;
- Experience and willingness to travel to various project sites during Contract Administration and Field Review (a valid BC Drivers licence is considered an asset);
- Proficiency in Vectorworks (or equivalent CAD software), Creative Suite, 3D software and Lumion, Microsoft Office;
- En route to BCSLA registration if not already a registered L.A.
Pay Range: $67,000- $82,000
Intermediate Level Landscape Designer / Project Coordinator (Full-Time)
We are looking for a driven and self-motivated person with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and 3-5 years’ experience in a landscape architecture office. Ideally, you have exceptional communication and design skills, with experience in the technical execution of projects with a high degree of quality and accuracy. You have a growing experience as project lead, working collaboratively with staff and directly with the Principal. Experience in producing complex construction documentation, detailing, and field services will be considered an asset.
In addition, for this position we are looking for applicants who display the following skills:
- Proficiency in Vectorworks, Creative Suite, 3D software and Lumion;
- Experience working in various stages of a project, including schematic design, design development, permitting, pricing, and contract document phases;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Time management of various projects with conflicting demands;
- Special emphasis on people with an interest in institutional, development, public realm, infrastructure and residential work;
- Experience and willingness to travel to various project sites during Contract Administration and Field Review (a valid BC Drivers licence is considered an asset);
- Ideally, en route to BCSLA registration.
Pay Range: $57,000 - $67,000
Entry Level Landscape Designer / CAD Technician (Full-Time)
We are looking for a driven and creative recent graduate or entry level landscape designer (0-2 years’ experience) to join our team. A degree in landscape architecture is preferred but not required. LOCI is seeking team members who can work in a collaborative setting. You will demonstrate a well-rounded skill set with some experience in concept design, detailing, technical support, writing and document production. You are detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about innovative landscape design, willing to learn and have fun in a supportive, team environment.
In addition, we are looking for applicants who display the following skills:
- Proficiency in CAD-related software (working knowledge of Vectorworks is preferred);
- Experience in Creative Suite, SketchUp, 3D Software, and Lumion;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Time management of various projects with conflicting demands;
- A willingness to resolve problems quickly and efficiently;
- Able to work well with others in a collaborative environment.
Pay Range: $52,000 - $57,000
