Senior Level Landscape Designer / Project Manager / Landscape Architect (Full-Time)
We are looking for a driven and self-motivated person with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, with 7+ years’ experience in a landscape architecture office. You have exceptional communication and design skills, with experience overseeing all facets of project management. You thrive in the role of Project lead, and can oversee junior staff while managing project deliverables, schedule and budget. Experience in overseeing construction documentation, specification writing, and field services will be considered an asset.
In addition, for this position we are looking for applicants who display the following skills:
- You have abundant experience working with multi-disciplinary teams through the schematic design, design development, working drawings and contract document phases of a project;
- You have a strong interest in urban design, mixed-use development, public realm, park design, institutional work (schools, community centres), infrastructure (roadways, bridges), streetscapes, and single-family residential work;
- You have excellent communication and organizational skills;
- You have excellent time management of various projects with overlapping demands;
- You have the ability to lead a small in-house design team on various projects, mentoring junior staff, and essentially running your own projects with direct collaboration by the Principal;
- You have experience with proposal writing and tracking is considered an asset;
- You have experience and a willingness to travel to various project sites during Contract Administration and Field Review (a valid BC Drivers licence is considered an asset);
- You have proficiency in Vectorworks (or equivalent CAD software), Creative Suite, 3D software and Lumion, Microsoft Office;
- You are en route to BCSLA registration if not already a registered L.A.
