EKISTICS International is looking for a Senior Urban Designer to join our Vancouver studio working within a skilled multi-disciplinary team, in a diverse and fast-paced studio environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Urban Designer is a key participant in assisting EKISTICS to meld the disciplines of urban design, architecture and landscape architecture. They bring a strong design sensibility and are confident providing design leadership within our studio on tourism, resort, residential, mixed use and large-scale urban design and master planning projects. Some travel to Asia and or Caribbean with team members required.
ABOUT YOU
- Qualified + Driven: You hold a degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Urban Design.
- Skilled + Experienced: You have 5-10 years’ experience and a strong design sensibility. Experience providing design leadership and proficiency in freehand concepts is essential. You have a demonstrated ability to generate designs at a variety of scales from concept through to detailed design completion. A background in architecture would be beneficial.
- Good Communicator: Has excellent written, graphic and verbal communication skills; and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to speak Mandarin beneficial but not a requirement for the position. Energetic, confident, and comfortable making presentations to principals, clients and consultants.
- Team Player: You thrive on team-work in a multi-disciplinary environment and value our clients, their vision, and goals. You have the ability to manage small teams on You are adaptable to shifting project demands and have a strong sense of professionalism and pride in work, both individual and team-generated.
