About the Webinar

Outdoor lighting is more than illumination, it's about enhancing the way we live, move, and interact in our shared environments. This continuing education session, led by Tim Bray of Landscape Forms, explores the intersection of lighting design and environmental stewardship in outdoor spaces.

You’ll gain insight into the hierarchy of design elements crucial for effective, human-centric outdoor lighting - from context and architectural surroundings to nighttime transitions and adjacency challenges. The session will also cover lighting zones, how to apply them, and how to determine appropriate light levels based on use and environment.

Why Attend?

This webinar is part of a growing educational series facilitated by CDm2, dedicated to bringing lighting knowledge and expertise to landscape architects across British Columbia. At CDm2, we understand the art, science and business of lighting - helping professionals raise the bar on lighting standards and design practices throughout our cities and communities.

Whether you're designing for parks, campuses, streetscapes, or public plazas, this session provides the tools to do so with clarity, intention, and care for environmental impact.
